This objectives of this research entitled “Teaching Speaking Using Direct Method (A Case Study at My Idea English Course)” were to investigate how far Direct Method improved students speaking ability and to find out advantages and disadvantages of Teaching Speaking Using Direct Method. The method used in the research was qualitative. The subjects of the study were EYL (English young learner) three of My Idea English course students. The instrument was an interview. The interview was conducted twice: before and after the treatment. The population of this research were seven students and the sample were entire population. The results of this research showed that most of the students (57%) obtained excellent category and (43%) of them obtained good category of their speaking proficiency. The encountered problem found by teacher were related to the technical and the lesson issues. Based on the data analysis Teaching Speaking Using Direct Method (A Case Study in English Course My Idea) was effective to improve the students speaking proficiency.
